The Moment
The full moon crept Upon the dark sky, Rising above the mountains, Illuminating the town of Hinton, Shining across the rippling Waves of the river Above Brooks Falls. He and I sat there At a picnic table Beside the indigo Silhouettes of trees, Watching the moon Disappear far overhead. Close but for a moment. The moon moved on, And so did we.

Debra, This is a beautiful poem. I lenjoyed your expression of word usage. I can see the beautiful visions in this poem.
I have traveled in and around Hinton many times in my life. One of the prettiest historical places of West Virginia that we have nestled in the valleys.
Thank you for sharing this sweet poem.

Debra, Dreama and I enjoy this poem. It's of a real moment isn't it? I can tell that it is, and one captured in such a way is priceless.
