Why is it so easy,
for my eyes to fall shut?
I must stay awake,
but, I...but...but....

...No, stay awake man!
Don't fall asleep!
But oh dear my eyelids,
downwards they creep.

Should stay awake,
have so much...to...do...
Oh, it's no use.
Tomorrow, I'll start new.

For now it's time to sleep,
no use to stay awake.
Can't work like this,
I must take a break!

So I lay my head down,
and my eyes now close.
My mind begins to wander,
as my body slows.

Sleep now consumes me,
and laze reigns supreme.
My body relaxes,
as I begin to dream.

No way to sit up,
or to stand upright.
So the only thing left now,
is to say... "Goodnight."
